I invested €36,000 in an Standard Life ARF 3 years ago through my broker. I changed brokers 6 months ago. My current broker advised me to switch funds, as the ARF was now worth €48,000 including a €6,000 bonus,in order to secure the bonus. I was advised to switch to a British property fund. I did so and now the fund is worth €42,000 and dropping. As the outlook is poor for British property for 2008 should I switch to a more safe option and take a hit on the €6k. The fund has 2 more years to go. Thanks for any advice.

Depends on breakdown of residential / property, and what you plan to do with the monies.

If new FA told you to go into property, maybe a dear john maybe in order ...

I had property funds (European), but sold up in sept, made small profit, if had of sold in June , would have made 35 % !!! but thats life

If I still had them, would have lost 15% .....

Do some research on fund, and make decision based over 2 years left. My two pennies without knowing content ....

SELL !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
