Boiler replacement

I have a Ferroli oil fired boiler for approx 13/14 years and it is working well. However, a couple of people have said to me that I should replace it with an up to date boiler as it is infinately more effecient and cost effective. I would use one fill of oil per year. Any thoughts out there on the merits or otherwise of replacing boiler in near future

It will be a long way off being infinitely more efficient. Take a look at this SEAI [broken link removed].

A boiler replacement will cost €2000-2500, you might use ~25% less oil. How long will it take to pay back that investment?
