just wondering, how do i go about requesting a public bin in my area? ..also on a similar vein, a cycle lane?.....i know i sound like a naive twat but living in portmarnock and the baldyle road between baldoyle and portmarnock is a death trap for cyclists/pedestrians. rubbish is also becoming a problem on station road......how many letters to fingal will do it??!!

Don`t expect any change if they paint nice new lines on the road indicating "Bicycles".I use them all the time....but so do buses, cars, trucks, pedestrians.
Parking on them is a particular problem.
There is NO ENFORCEMENT.
I`ve watched Gardai blithely stroll by, while all around them, traffic laws are breached.cars parked and buses using Cycle lanes, cyclists on footpaths and ignoring traffic lights.
It would be interesting for any of us to stroll the streets for the length of a Garda shift and count the number of breaches of the traffic laws.We don`t need more Gardai to walk the streets ignoring law breaking....not at Eur100,100 per head.
