A number of insurers offer discounts on combined motor insurance, allianz and Axa have been doing it for years. Quinn also used to offer a discount for house insurance if you already had motor insurance with them. Having said that, combining insurance into a block type policy is not always the best deal - they may offer a discount, but still be dearer than competitors on standard policies. There also may be variations in cover such as protected NCD and accidental damage on house cover that might mean you get lower cover overall. Lots of insurers offer female policy discounts,Zurich comes to mind, as does Axa and RSA, so check them out. Many insurers competitive on motor can be expensive on house insurance or offer less cover/higher excesses etc. Your best bet is to contact a broker and check out the various options.
