Best platform to trade US ETFs

US domiciled ETFs are not subject to exit tax at 41%, but CGT at 33%.
That's what I also believed but it's not the case any more: there was a review of the ETF taxation last year and the ecosystem has since changed. See the paragraph below from the Revenue website: it looks like that a US ETF is subject to CGT tax only if there is no Irish equivalent ETF (there is a equivalent Irish ETF for all the most popular U.S. ETFs, so we're doomed). Do some background work and just stick with some well diversified stocks as Clubman mentions above.

Prior guidance confirmed that investments in ETFs domiciled in the USA, the EEA or in an OECD member state (other than the USA) with which Ireland has a double taxation treaty, follows the treatment that would apply to share investments generally. That confirmation does not apply to such investments with effect from 1 January 2022. Where following an analysis of an ETF that was covered by the previous guidance it is found to be equivalent to an Irish ETF, then the 8 year “deemed” disposal rule will apply as follows: while the actual acquisition cost of the ETF will remain unchanged, the 8 years should be counted from 2022 meaning the earliest deemed disposal will be in 2030
