Hi all, I am currently residing in Ireland but will be moving to the UK in the Autumn possibly for 4 to 5 years. I want to deposit some cash in a long term account maybe 4 to 5 years and was looking at the State Savings option. My questions are;
1. Is DIRT applicable only if I reside in Ireland so if I deposit some money whilst abroad will it be DIRT free.
2. Are State Savings the best option for this time frame, I assume the State Savings are DIRT free anyway, am I correct in this ?, also am I able to deposit money in SS from abroad.
