Back to Work Enterprise Allowance

Anyone any experience with this allowance. I expect to be let go in the new year, but am conscience not to set up any company or sole trader in case this affects my application for the back to work enterprise allowance. Do I have to meet a specific criteria to be considered for this scheme?

Can I take any steps before I'm let go?
 
There's dozens of posts re this already if you search the site. Also DSFA site has full details about it. You will have to wait a year on JB/JA before you can access it so you have lots of time to read up on it.
