Health Insurance Baby with special needs

I have a grandson on Laya Control 150 Secure. Going forward it looks like he will need lots of help such as Physiotherapy, speech therapy, occupational therapy. He may need certain appliances such as a wheelchair in a few years. He has a medical card but with such pressure on the health service for people like him to access services, I wondered if there was a better policy out there? Laya recommended thIs one. I know he will fall under the pre condition rule but wondered was there better day to day expenses cover - although the control 150 secure is good on these?

Our son has private S&L each week. We have VHI company level plan. We are able to claim 75% back then claim 20% of the balance through med1. His €75 an hour sessions end up costing us approx €15 . It is well worth looking at the comparison website.
