Applying for job in Company made redundant from

I was made redundant in April - i have been lucky enought to be working since but still on look out for job which is more suited to me.

The company i was made redundant from have advertised a job in a different department which is exactly like the job i was redundant from and i know i am totally suited for. Can they re-employ someone ??
(obviously i know it would be different terms of pay etc etc).

I am thinking of applying for the job or would it would be pointless - what is anyone's opinion??

It really depends on he company. There is nothing illegal about re-employing staff previously made redundant; however some companies don't like to or wont do it. Why not contact the HR department and ask?
