Another family health insurance question

We are a family of four (2 adults, 2 children age 6 & 7) and are currently with Glohealth on Net More 300 plan.

We are due for renewal at the end of February and, after reading some threads here, wondering would we be better renewing the children with VHI and ourselves with Irish Life Net More 300?

We are not too bothered about day to day cover but would like private cover in a public hospital and to have access to day case procedures in private hospitals (a small excess is fine).

We are currently paying 136.66 euro per month (last year's prices) so if we can come in not too much more than that it would be great!
Any advice greatly appreciated.....

Hi Cyprus,

Welcome to AAM.
It would be well worth your while to switch the children to VHI as their half price childrens offers continue upto and including 28 Feb 2017.
Vhi allow children to be insured on their own, an adult is named on the policy but just the children are insured. VHI are the only provider that
allow this facility.
Best option details as follows;

1. One + Plan; price 145 per child, all public hospitals(including a private room), all private hospitals and 3 hi-tech hospitals covered,
excess 125 per private/hi-tech admission or day case.

Net More 300 plan is the best priced plan at that level and is a good option for the adults.
