Health Insurance alternative to teachers plan

Could anyone suggest a good alternative to Teachers Plan with VHI? I'm due for renewal soon.
I would want good day to day cover and really dont need any hi - tech hospital cover.
A few suggestions would be great so I can compare them - ideally I'd stay with VHI.

Given that you would prefer to stay with VHI I suggest you give PMI 53 10 at €1351 per person per annum or PMI 07 10 at €1312 for the year some consideration.

Both these plans offer full cover up semi-private room in most private hospitals, however with PMI 07 10 there is no cover in the Whitfield Clinic or Kingsbridge Hospital Sligo.

The private hospital inpatient excess is €100 per claim with PMI 5310 whereas with PMI 07 10 an excess of €150 is only payable on the first inpatient claim per year.

The everyday medical expenses cover with both plans is good with only a €1 excess. Be mindful, however, that PMI 53 10 does not offer emergency dental cover while PMI 07 10 covers up to €500 per accident.

Both these plans are worthy of serious consideration.
