Allow a management company to be struck off?

I am President of a non-trading Management Company responsible for the upkeep, insurance etc. of common parts of a building divided into 5 flats with 5 owners, including me.

I understand from Companies House that that the company has been fined £750.00 for non presentation of documents and is due to be struck off. My fault, I'm afraid.

My solicitor has told me to let it be struck off and forget the debt and he'll start another limited company to look after the flats. Is this sensible advice?

Thanks in advance.

Hi chrisqw, you mention Companies House and also £. This is an Irish financial discussion board and therefore you might not find the answer you are looking for.

Hi RonanC

Thanks for the information and thanks for letting me know my mistake so tactfully. Its a shame because this looks like a great forum.
