Advise on €5000 present ?

Hi all,
Just looking for some advice...... We are getting married in 14 months time in Italy and have started saving a while back. Our wedding fund at the moment is at 6000 ( we both save 250 a month into this fund). From what i know the most we can save a month into this First active account is €1000.
The story is that my girlfriends parents want to give us 5000 towards our wedding and i was wondering would it be right just to drip feed it into the F.A savings account ? or is there a better way of making some money from it for the next 14 months ?
Any ideas

Have you read the Financial Best Buys forum and www.itsyourmoney.ie lists of the best deposit accounts on offer and the many, many, many existing threads on using such deposit accounts to maximise deposit interest returns?
