I would appreciate some advice.
My husband wants to start a pension (he's 37 years old). We don't know where to begin. He is in employment at the moment but it's only short-term work so we think it would be a good idea to start a private pension.
He worked in construction at one stage and has contributions to Construction Workers' Pension Scheme (CWPS) of over €1,000 (employer contribs €1,700).
I see from their statement letter recently received that he can transfer the value of his retirement account to an approved Occupational Pension Scheme, a PRSA or a Personal Retirement Bond.
Any advice and direction would be greatly appreciated.
