Hi

Currently drive a 1.3 engine car and was thinking of upgrading to some sort of 1.6.

I know the tax and insurance would be a bit more expensive but what about petrol.....would I notice a big difference in fuel consumption ?

Currently put about 25 a week into it .....

I think that it depends on the milage that you do, and if you drive petrol or diesel. We have a 1.4 petrol runaround, while the family car is a large 2.5TDI V6 Diesel. The diesel is better by over 10 mpg better than the petrol!!

Horse.

It really depends on what you buy. I went from a 1.3 to a 1.6. Compared to the 1.3, I need a mortgage to run the 1.6. The 1.6 is as expensive to run as my boyfriends 1.9!

1.3 (20- 30 euro a month) 1.6 (~45 euro per week)

You should look up the . They will give you MPG for new cars. Remember that it does vary with the type of driver you are and whether you're driving urban/rural.
