car scam on carzone.

I was looking into getting a bigger car for my wife and kids. Looking at a picasso or a senic. went on to car zone saw a nice pisacco. 2005 dirt cheap, gave the guy an e mail and he told me the car was in liverpool he had all the documentation, he was returning to amrica after death of his father, etc and thats why it was so cheap. Pretty suspect I know. Well yesterday I saw a senic for sale very cheap 2005 so gave the guy an e mail (different e mail address), and low and behold same cock and bull strory only this time he was returning to spain. I am concerned that this guy is going to sucker some smuck out of a lot of money. Any advice on how to let the cops know about this potential scam.
 
This is not new and has been covered here before on AAM as well as Boards.ie, I think.
 
One of the most common scams on the `net. All advertisers know about it i.e. carzone, gumtree etc...no point in reporting to cops.
