Hard drive failed ?

If you've got a HDD full of music/documents/pictures etc and you haven't it backed up, what happens when it goes ga-ga?

Well you can bring it to a hardware repair and data recovery place who will charge you a hefty fee to get stuff off it, and if it's personal/sensitive then they'll have a copy of it too...not ideal.

Try [broken link removed] your crocked HDD!! Apparently it works, and it's worth a try before you hand over your hard-earned to the data recovery people.

I can validate this = for mechanical failure, it works very well as a means to get your data off the drive.
