Mortgages Direct

Hi,

Hope to buy a new apt in the next couple of months and have been looking around for the best mortgage deal. Just wondering has anybody ever dealt with Mortgages Direct??

Just be aware that they only deal with the following mainstream lenders
Bank of Scotland (Ireland) , Educational Building Society , First Active , ICS
IIB Homeloans ,Permanent TSB , Ulster Bank . So you could possibly miss out on better rates from other lenders such as Halifax, NIB, BOI, AIB .

Hi Emsman,
You should make sure you use a broker with as many agencies as possible. The way rates are on the move up at the moment my advice is get your approval in principle asap as the market is constantly changing and it is harder to get finance now than say six months ago. A colleague of mine worked for them several years ago and left for another brokerage ( that speaks for itself) Personally I have never heard anything bad about that company but I have neither heard anything good.
