Hi Ive started a new job where i could do with finding a course that would
help me get to grips with basic management accountancy. Dont need to do a formal accountancy cert/ diploma i was thinking more of a professional development type course. havent had any luck finding one on the internet. Thanks

CIMA is chartered institute of management accountancy. As disclosure I've done the exams to Strategic level. Foundation level is an online exam now, it was a paper exam when I did it.
I'm sure there is some sort of cert after successful completion.

Nell,

I'm looking for the same type of thing that you seem to be chasing*. Did you have any joy with any of the suggestions above? Anything else?

cheers

Where to learn the basics of office accounts?

I've recently started a job where eventually I'll have to organise people putting the accounts together. Thing is, I don't know that much about office/management accounts (which they're well aware of!) and I'm looking to do a short course to get to grips with it.

Would anyone here know of places that offer those courses in Dublin please?

I've been looking on the web and found the Irish Times courses (Finance for non-finance managment - more for director level decisions that just preparing accounts) and then ones with FAS (spread out over 20-odd weeks... too slow).

But as to finding one that's in between?? no joy yet!

EDIT:
thanks Dr. M.

just finding my way about the site ;>
