Hi all

Any recommendations for places to go in Cork for fitted wardrobes. Want to go somewhere reasonable - even flatpack and I could install myself.

Any help appreciated.

Thanks

Hi Ned,

There's a key post on Wardrobes but I don't think it mentions anything about Cork unfortunately.

I see [broken link removed]have two branches in Cork. I noticed one particularly nice wooden wardrobe in their showrooms in Dublin recently so they might be worth considering.

If you run the search option in this forum only there are some other threads on wardrobes.

Hi, I would prefer in house over cash & carry anyday. Also try Exclusive fittted furniture in Hollyhill. They import a range of symphony robes from UK, you will have to wait a few weeks though. Just bring along your room sizes to all of them.

I heard that B&Q have a flatpack for fitted wardrobes. It's by a company called Stanley. Anyone know of anyone in Galway doing flatpacks for sliding/built in wardrobes?

Hi,
I recently bought a flat pack wardrobe from the Square Deal Furniture Shop on Washington St. The wardrobe is a large 3 door beech effect unit that is free standing. I paid €525 for it and they delivered it and then sent a guy to assemble it on the same day. Great service and a great piece of furniture.

We're just after getting sliderobe type wardrobes fitted in our house. They're fantastic - make the bedrooms look way more spacious. We bought them in Woodies - they have them in b&q aswell. Then we got a fitter to fit them. We saved 3000 euro on our quote from sliderobes. Worth thinking about.;)

are the sliding wardrobes on the woodies website as we have been looking out for sliding door solutions but thought only a few specialised companies do them (ie sliderobes / robeplan etc) ?

what sizes do they come in and can you cut them to fit ?

No - woodies and b&q are in on the action now aswell.

You can't cut them to fit - the price is per door - we have a four door one in our room and a two door one in the little fellas. The fitter inserted panelling all around the ones in our room (looks perfect!), we didn't need to put the panelling in the other room as they were a perfect fit.
Ring up woodies with your measurement because there's different sized doors available. I found them very helpful.
