I am looking for a basic, reasonably priced, software package which will enable me to draw my current house plans and then allow me to design extensions/changes and view the end result.

I am not sure if such a product exists, maybe someone can help.

Saw something like this in Compustore recently - think it was about 18 Euros or so.

This months (i.e. March !) PC Plus has a CD/DVD with FloorPlan 3D on it "Visualise your dream home, office or garden in full 3D rendering".

Don't know how good it is, but might be worth a look.
 
design soft

Bought Home Design 3D in one of the big computer stores a few years back - anyway it broke my heart. The templates were good - fly through views etc. but I couldn't create a thing
 
house design

Floorplan is very easy to use, and the drawing can then be converted into standard CAD format, so that you can give it to an architect to have him/her tidy it up for you.
