My dad dies in february and I will be inheriting his co-ownership apartment. He owned 50% of it. I want to to sell it, but am aware it will take a while! He was paying £46.66 per month rent on the other 50%, which is considerably below market rent and I assume was fixed years back. Once probate is granted do I have to pay this? And will the rent stay the same as I can't afford to pay a large rent on an empty flat until it gets sold. Any assistance much appreciated.
