Bing as an alternative to Google

Of course you can, you have made that point, and I have already recommended this as an option, but iGoogle can be irritating to ppl who have used Google from the start, mainly because of it's clean and uncluttered GUI.

My preferred option, for the present, is to use the FireFox Start URL as Home Page , as recommended here.

Ppl could not be bothered deleting and setting up iGoogle.

If this continues, I will move to Bing

The Bing gui suits many of us a lot better. What are the other pros and cons?

The only problem I see with that is that there are no suggestions offered, which I find useful, as you type in the search box.

Search suggestions can be turned on for "Bing" too.

Honestly Brendan, I have never used Bing, but I am now looking at it , as an alternative to Google.ie, as it seems to have a suitable GUI, with "Results from Ireland" there.

The original reasons for using Google were the clean interface, with the search being the main thing.

The corporate differences between Google and Microsoft have now all but disappeared, IMHO. So much for the Do no Evil Google Slogan.

For rgfuller, I think demoivre was referring to the FFox Google Interface, which I recommended earlier.
