Advice needed on a steel shed

I want to get a steel shed and have priced them in Cork. I can get a 10 x 12 ft one on "special offer" for around 1500 euro. This will be delivered and assembled on site. I will need to provide a concrete base. I have also seen them i the Argos catalogue http://www.argos.ie/static/Product/partNumber/7056954/Trail/searchtext%3ESHED.htm. This will need to be assembled. Has anybody any experience of this and how difficult it is? It is half the price and looks the same to me. Only difference is the argos one has no windows which will mean turning on the light every time. The other option has 2 sky lights. Any cons of the steel shed I should be aware of? Thanks.

I got a steel shed of similar size last year. The company I used put down a wooden floor (extra) so need for messing with a concrete base. It was the reason I chose that company.
More than happy with it, it has a sky light and built in shelves (extra).
Think all in it was around €1600 and I'm very happy with it.
It took the guys around an hour to assemble.

Avoid the Argos "steel" sheds like the plague. Many moons ago I had the misfortune to volunteer to erect one for a family-member in England. The frame and panels are extremely light weight (think tin) and the connectors are not good quality. After a short time it blew down when the door was opened in a bit of a wind. Utter rubbish, IME.

About 6 years ago I bought a steel shed from these guys - they put down slabs and constructed the shed, they were very professional and the shed is still good as new.

I'll echo what mathepac said. A friend of mine was roped into building one of those Argos sheds for his sister. He ended up with lacerated hands from the flimsy panels. It drove the poor guy to drink - at least, that's his excuse.

I put up 3 of the argos sheds and yes they are flimsy if you pick up 1 sheet but when they are put together properly they are good for what they are. It canbe tricky until you have one done but then it gets easier. I would prob go for the stronger sheds they should be a lifetime job

Shanette Sheds ask for Damien, no connection, customer only, go for height + 1 foot

If I had to do it again, I would have gone for the INSULATED version, also get at least 2 Shelving Units, I did and that was a great decison!
Also, Darren is Sales, other guy installs them. (should clarified this earlier)

Again, customer only, no connection with firm

Also can recommend Shannette Sheds in Kilbeggan highly. I got the insulated version and it is installed about 5 years now and is excellent. Very professional team including installers.

PS. No connection but happy customer.
