Connecting dishwasher waste to sink outlet

A friend needs to install a dishwasher in her apartment and the dishwasher waste will need to connect into the waste outlet under the kitchen sink.
The waste outlet under the kitchen sink has two inlet branches running off it at 45 degree angles, presumably for a washing machine and dishwasher. These branches look to be about 3/4 inches wide.
How do I go about connecting the dishwasher waste outlet to the branch on the sink waste?
Thanks.

Very simple. Screw of the lock nut which secures the 3/4" spigot on the kitchen waste. Remove the spiggot and you will find a blanking of plug (or bung) inside the spiggot. Remove this plug and reassemble the spiggot and lock nut, tighten using your hand only so as not to damage the fitting. Now get a 25mm (1 inch) hose clip (AKA Jubilee clip) and slip it over the end of the waste hose from your appliance. Slip the hose over the spiggot ( a bit of washing up liquid can be used to lubricate the hose end). Push it down as far as it will go and then position the hose clip over the hose/ spiggot. Tighten up the clip to ensure a good seal, but don't overdo it. And that's it really. Do a quick test on the appliance and check for leaks.

Thanks Carpenter - nice and straight forward so, I'll get her to do it herself so!
