Electric Power Washer

Hi All;
I need to purchase an electric power washer. This would be used to clean the drive and also wash the car etc. I purchased a cheap one from argos a while back and it is next to uselesss, as it keeps cutting out, as does one I got from halfords a few years ago. I assume this is due to the amount of water getting to the washer etc

I borrowed one from a neighbour and this one worked a treat. It didnt cut out (using the same water supply/hose as the 2 above).

I didnt get the make or model of this hose and cant now as they moved away, but any recommendation for a decent power washer would be great

Also, if the 'cutting out' due to the water supply or are there other reasons?

Thanks
B

I've used a Karcher in the past, and it has been fine. It never cuts out. I've since given it out on long term lend, so I have to guess the model - K 2.300.

A word of warning on washing your car - pressure washers are fine for getting it wet, knocking off mud, and for rinsing the soap off afterwards, but so is a regular hosepipe to be honest. The pressure washer is no substitute for elbow wax - if you use the highest pressure nozzle, it'll likely strip some paint too.

We've had two cheap ones from Argos and they worked fine. A friend has a Karcher and says its great and they do generally have a good reputation.

Would the pressure on the water in your house be erratic and was working well when you borrowed the neighbour's one?

Thanks for the replies:)...The pressure is great but for some reason the cheaper washers kept cutting out
