A practical applications of the Residential Tenancies Act 2004. How as a practitioner can you avoid problems and disputes. What is best practice when involved in a case before the PRTB.
Proposed changes to the Residential Tenancies Act and how they will impact on agents

Focusing on the taxation treatment of rental income looking at in particular the tax treatment of landlords living abroad and the legal obligations this imposes on agents.

adjacent streets to Civic Offices from 7.00pm onwards.)


1. Cathal Lawlor, inheritance tax expert will give an in depth presentation on approaches to inheritance tax and wills, which will be followed by a Q and A.


2. Mary Gara, accountant and company law expert will speak on the benefits ofa company option for landlords(to be confirmed).


3. Update on RLAI activity, including:


• Pre Budget Submission


• Meetings with Officials from Department of Social Welfare and Department ofEnvironment


• Report on PRTB Stakeholders Meeting


• Submission to Department of Communications on the new household broadcasting charge (to replace tv licence)
