Ulster Bank cuts some mortgage rates

looking at this - have larger balance. 2 year looks attractive and not mad about going for 5 years even though 2.5% is also attractive. but with global markets looking like there may be some downturn in next couple of years I suspect rates arent going anywhere for the next couple of years. so my...

Ulster Ulster Bank customers who lost trackers but switched to another lender

Thanks Brendan - I am collating the information for UB for the eligibility process. As I have had two separate mortgages since my intention is to send on all info regarding both - made up of a redemption for the old pdh and a new mortgage for my current pdh. I did call UB re the 6 month cap and...

Ulster Redress from Ulster but I have switched lenders

thanks Brendan - the fact that i sold the property in 2014 (just enough to clear mortgage) and rented for a couple of years before buying again may complicate matters. Ironically one of the main reasons for not holding onto the property was the rates i was on at the time and the fact that i did...

Ulster Redress from Ulster but I have switched lenders

will make this short - got a call last month to say UB had sent by registered post a letter to my former address and that i needed to collect - it was to do with tracker. As i never had a tracker thought this must have been a mistake. it wasnt and a very nice cheque was in the post (as they...

    Switching mortgage restricted by age

Have just seen this. Challenged BOI on my 4.2% rate on basis that ebs and aib were quoting. Have given me svr of 3.7% but that's it. However I will be caught by this rule which looks like ruling both ebs and aib out and only ub left at the 3.1%.

Key Post Variable mortgage rates - best buys

Brendan i take it you still think EBS are offering the best value at the moment with the cash back offer even though rates are higher than AIB. Two thoughts: 1. do EBS offer reduction in rates to all customers 2. historically my impression is that the "building societies" such as EBS were not...
