Let's call a spade a spade here. The FSO dropped the ball before Ger Deerings time. In my view they should be barred/removed from any involvement in the examination because of this.

A questions I'd like asked What about customers who started on fixed in 2005/2006 for 4 yrs with option of tracker only to find it was gone in 2009/2010 and were forced to take SVR (SVR was never actually chosen) Thanks say something

While many of the FSO tracker decisions were before the current FSO's time, it would be good to see the number of tracker appeals that were rejected by his office that have now overturned by the CB.

That is meant to be the procedure and option available to customers but I understand that any 'tracker examination' decision that has been signed off by Central Bank is highly unlikely to be overturned by the FSO. It would be great if I was incorrect but no evidence to suggest otherwise...

It's all about the banks and the central bank so I fully understand why the Ombudsman got this type of audience.

Possibly a reflection of the Ombudsmans role in this. The only players in the examination are the Central Bank.
