    Post 1995 Supplementary pension query

That is correct. NSP is added to your service to come up with your occupational pension. The supplementary pension is then the difference between that and pension for a pre-95 with similar service. That’s how it works in my case. Remember NSP is for a term, so it is apparently pro-rata if you...

    Post 1995 Supplementary pension query

As my employer understands it The Pensions Team calculates the supplementary pension (SP) at the point of application only. The SP is to bridge the gap between what you are receiving with the coordinated pension and what you would have received with the uncoordinated pension if you had joined...

    ARF charges

My wife's ARF annual charges are 1.25% and 1.45% on two NIA balanced funds. Frankly, I think that is on the high side and was surprised they were that high.

    Post 1995 Supplementary pension query

Interesting thread, I will enquire with my benefits section but I reckon that the supp pension once taken, does not increase each year, until the COAP.

Home insurance - what are people paying on average?

My renewal went up 20%, when I eventually got through to a human from Zurich it appears Zurich applied a 25% increase in the building sum insured value across all policies reflecting rebuilding cost as indicated in the SCSI calculator. First time this was done apparently. SCSI calculator

Eddie Hobbs on tiktok strongly advising against the purchase of AVCs

Am availing myself of PNS, looking to use AVCs to top up and use my max thresholds over the next few years. If I go early then AVCs are what my employer recommends.

    Clearing mortgage with pepper ireland

You would need to feed excess and then when cleared any remaining excess will be refunded. That’s how it worked for me recently with PTSB. They can take a number of days to clear funds and redeem the loan, hence we over fed the account, as they advised, and waited until the App showed a nil balance.

Any sign of annual RTB registration?

Registered my properties but on each occasion there was no option to pay the part IV . Have taken screenshots every time I go on to the RTB site as it says no fees are owed. I’m sure Leo knows what’s going on, him being a landlord and all that, I’m sure he’s thinking the same, hopefully, that...

Tax Treatment of Landlords has to be Revisited

Certainly there are better tax breaks and writedowns for larger landlords. Junior just received his eviction notice along with 119 other students from Campus accommodation in Dublin during the week. Landlord citing a change in rental direction and focus, certainly means getting rent from a...

That’s what I understand, if you can’t see it then it’s moved to Pepper

Buy-to-let mortgage with Finance Ireland. Which lender to switch to?

Doesn’t seem correct, very generous rates for a BTL. PTSB informed me last September they were moving my performing BTL to Pepper. I asked PTSB if I could get a new product and they said no. So beware. Mine would be ECB +3.35% if it had moved.

Anyone sold or bought overseas via daft.ie

Might be best to hold onto it. I can’t see prices falling enough. I am looking in Albufera area but does not have to be right on the coast. Some quiet villages near the hills would suit and ideally a two bed house with garage for the motorcycle.
