I wouldn't be concerned with this. All new estates, under planning regulations, have to set aside 10% of housing for social housing. Therefore Sherry Fitz are just quoting to you what is required by Park Developments under these regulations. It will not be in Park's interest to set aside a...

That seems a crazy price for a terraced house!! 3 beds in HP were from 395,000 at launch and now from 450,000. 4 beds in HP vary according to house type, understand now up to 665,000.

    New Houses in Diswellstown Castleknock

I guess it comes down to more than just the no of rooms & size of a house. House layout / aspect / garden size all play a part. From recollection the 5 beds in DM didn't have the same downstairs living space as other 4 bed houses. For the 4 bed detached in HP, on launch they were listed as from...

Seems unusual that one security guard witnessed a break in, was attacked with rocks and threatened, yet the other security guard didn't know about the incident or seem concerned about it. If this incident happened on Friday night, I would imagine all security guards would know about it.

    New Houses in Diswellstown Castleknock

This seems a ridiculously far fetched story. Breaking into houses and trying to pull boilers off the wall for copper?!! I can't say I have seen them at the playground every evening. I've seen a group of teenagers the odd evening, causing no trouble at all. If they are in fact at the playground...

Hi Does anyone know how the Hamilton park apartments will look when they are finished? At the moments the brickwork is very dark on them. Are they going to be fully in dark brick?

From the work on site, it would seem that the osborne style houses on Diswellstown Way (2-12 & 21-35) are in the process of being built / almost ready. Were these ones available in the last phase? If not, I would suspect some of these will be released in Spring. I agree - it's difficult to get...

    New Houses in Diswellstown Castleknock

I wonder if these apartments will definitely be built as part of the Phase 2 development - is there really a demand for apartments in Dublin 15. I would have thought houses were more in demand? It might depend on how the Phase 1 apartments sell. Does anyone have a sense of how well other...

I found Signature Blinds (based in Ballycoolin, D15) very good. Great selection of modern blinds and well priced too. We had a few different companies out to measure up and I found that Signature Blinds had the best range. They have done quite a few of the blinds in HP / DM.

As an estate it will feel quite disconnected from surrounding estates without pedestrian access. The uncertainty in terms of potential pedestrian access is frustrating.

    New Houses in Diswellstown Castleknock

We had a deposit on a 5 bed semi detached house in DM (type C) and a 4 bed detached house in HP (Yeats) and went with HP in the end and we are delighted with our decision. Both houses were priced the same at the time. For us there was no comparison between the house layout, privacy, aspect...
