    Auto enrolment and PRSA

My wife has a PRSA arranged and receives tax benefits on contributions as filed in Form11. Here employer was not involved at all in the PRSA and basically has nothing to do with it. Claim personal car use as sole trader

I've recently turned a hobby, tour guiding, into more of a formal paid role. I would have to drive to location of tours, often over 100kms, to do the work and return home same day. The travel is totally work related and could make up 5000km of my total car travel of 20000km a year.

Income Tax and VAT on microgeneration

It seems some providers are deducting the vat from microgeneration payments and collecting that VAT. Others are paying the full VAT inclusive microgeneration FIT rate. Which is correct ? Also I'm told if there are two names on the electricity bill the €400 income tax free goes to €800 tax free...

Have been made redundant - next steps

@taxpayer Get yourself set up with a MyGovId and Public Services Card and get it all verified during your "relax" month. It means you can do a lot more stuff online when it comes to making a claim I applied for JB the day after I finished work and application was processed in 3 days. I got two...

    NTMA interest rates

Might be a good strategy for state to increase their rates to force banks to do the same for deposits.....Banks are passing on most of the mortgage rate increases but very little on the deposit rates and that helped BOI make > €1B profit

How would tax be declared/paid on micro generation ? Would it be income tax as unearned self employed income ? Is it likely to ever be enforced ? Reason I ask is it makes sense for me to export most PV during the day at 24c/kWh and charge the car middle of night at 14ckWh. 3.4.6 Taxation If...
