Step by step guide for holders of CRH share certificates

I set up my CRH on the US Computer Share with the W8 done. The latest dividend arrived but it is taxed at source at 25%. Is that correct?

When I have compared the same ETFs ACC vs dis I see a difference. I never bothered to actually do the maths and see if it adds up but it should.

    Attic Insulation/Access/Ventilation Work Recomendations

When you add more fibreglass wool, try to do it very cold weather. Get someone with a thermal camera to guide installation. It will pick up many badly laid spots where you get thermal bypassing. It probably would blow your mind how many there will be.

    Revenue E-Brief on ETFs

What is considered a provider in this case? Are Ishares, Vanguard, DB trackers providers? If I buy a UCIT ETF for 1000 Euro, eight years later it drops to 500 euro, then eight years later it grows to 900 euro, do I own 164 euro in tax?

Buying a House with a Two bed flat attached

It is a big leap for the sake of a gov tax scheme that we have no guarantee will always be there.

    Buying US stocks...

You'd have to check tax treaties but that is only for dividend income. Otherwise same as Irish stocks. Irish stocks incur stamp duty. I was surprised to find that when i bought Irish stocks abroad that I still incurred stamp duty. So you could consider this but it is very unlikely to be an issue

ECB hopes the avalanche of stimulus will accelerate growth amid high inflation

I dont think you have shown that we are in a period of the highest real rates of return on deposits, you don't cite any historical DIRT rate and your interest rate data is paywalled. What you did show was snark and that was not needed.

Interactive Investor Ireland absorbed by II UK

Are the people still with Interactive Investor getting the Trading Credit? I am not but they seem to have not charged me the monthly flat since December. No idea why. I think adding to my portfolio is the only way to justify hanging onto it.

Interactive Investor Ireland absorbed by II UK

Hi did anyone here stick with Interactive Investor? I have been trying to transfer my stock out but I hit many roadblocks. I like the idea of sticking with them as I have Degiro as well and would love to be spread out. There is no legal way to use a north of Ireland address to avoid fees? With...

REITs and their taxation in Ireland

There has been a surge in coverage of REITs in the press in Ireland and policymakers continuously refer to generous tax conditions that they have since 2013 and argue that this gives them unfair leverage. However, REITs have been established for decades abroad. Is it the case that Irish REITS...

Can fees on old Irish Life plans be as low as claimed?

They are Yup. 66 YO and 73. 73 YO still does part-time work. They own their home, work premises and have an investment property. They inherited various UK shares which seem to have done more from them than Irish Life. I encourage them to splash out and spend their money but travel is the only...

Are private schools better than public schools?

There is excellent data from the UK that private schools result in higher earnings later in life. I imagine some small rural schools would be also very good too. According to this data bad apple pupils do a lot of damage to the rest of the class. to It's not just because you have richer parents...

    Air to Air Heat Pumps

I guess hypothetically if carbon taxes are radically increased, this person's system may gradually become easier to justify financially.
