    Dash Cam recommendation please ...

Second the Nextbase 312GW. Bought mine about 2 ( maybe even 3) years ago and have had no issues with it ( Bought it on the recommendation of a friend - I said I wanted a good one that didn't cost a fortune) It's wide angle and high resolution so the video it captures is good quality.

Invest in a more expensive house

2 things: If you think equities and land purchase are equal I suggest you take some of the 1.5M in the bank and pay a wealth management advisor, who can gather all the information available and make informed recommendations. Buying land and buying equalities are 2 completely different investment...

Offered job as an agency employee rather than a direct employee.

From your first post You never were applying to be a direct employee. I assume was a daily rate contract? It's probably easier for the company to be invoiced by one agency, rather than separate invoices for each contractor. Is the daily rate paid to you changing? By how much?

    problems selling property.. (really??)

The listing that I was referring to above doesn't appear on any other agents sites, so I have feeling I might have the wrong property or it's extremely well hidden :) Regardless though, if you have improved the appearance since the agent took photos, get them to put new photos up. You want...

    problems selling property.. (really??)

I might have wrong property, if I do, you can ignore :) but if it's the property with one photo on the property websites, the photo and wording of the advert scream 'this house is so bad that it's only suitable for complete renovation'. Even the photo that is used shows a neglected property...

Sold in NE. Paying off shortfall as agreed. But bad mark on my ICB record?

I sure they probably would as the interest rate is higher on my mortgage. Maybe I should share numbers to see if I'm making the correct decisions ( Making incorrect financial decision wouldn't be a first for me, it's how I got here :) ) PPR : 230K mortgage. Value approx 290. Interest Rate 4.25%...

Sold in NE. Paying off shortfall as agreed. But bad mark on my ICB record?

Shortfall is only just over 23K. Didn't have a lump sum to pay it off. In hindsight, if I didn't know at the time that it would affect my credit rating, I would have found the money to pay it off. Still don't have lump sum to pay it off now. It might do in the near future. Have mortgage on...

Sold in NE. Paying off shortfall as agreed. But bad mark on my ICB record?

Thanks for reply Brendan. Never any arrears. Mortgage amount always paid in full and on time. Even when things were tight, other expenses cut to ensure it was paid in full. I guess I can see where technically they are right with the 'L', However I probably just feel a little hard done by as it...

Sold in NE. Paying off shortfall as agreed. But bad mark on my ICB record?

I sold a property for less than mortgage amount. Agreed with bank before sale that full residue will be paid off over a (still to be agreed) period of time at the same rate as the original mortgage. I had suggested at the beginning that 5 years seemed a reasonable period ( currently 16 years...

    6 Month Delayed Repayments

Bank of Ireland had a 'payment holiday' included in it's adverts recently However, make sure you now how much that payment holiday is going to cost you over the lifetime of the mortgage ( hint : a lot!)

Should I cash Solidarity Bond early, or increase mortgage to keep them

Can you get a mortgage of 150K? If so, what is the interest rate? Because if you can only get 130K then none of the below applies. If you borrow at 3.1%, it is costly you 620 in interest a year. Assuming that you get the same rate after the 3 year fixed, then it will cost 3100 in interest (...

Health Insurance Do brokers know specific treatments covered by Health Insurance companies?

I have become aware that for a specific condition, a particular treatment would be covered by one insurance company and not another insurance company. Most comparisons of health insurance I have found online compare public to private hospital care. However I am having trouble finding details of...

    Joint mortgage/separating/not married

Then put at least 434 into a savings account each month. If you were taking on the whole mortgage now you would be paying it, so you should have it to spare. That is at least 5K you are saving a year in order to put towards a lump sum to pay him when you are in a position to take the full mortgage.

Also, you should quote the consumer credit act to them, linked above, since you are over 50, and so you already fit the criteria, without having to prove that it would be too expensive
