Will BoI honour the redraw of overpayments facility offered by KBC?

Over recent years KBC permitted overpayments to be made on variable KBC mortgages by customers which could then be redrawn,if needed by the customer. This facility was not documented in the terms and conditions of the mortgage per se but KBC did provide some documentation in this space...

KBC KBC giving me back my tracker!

While tomorrow promises to be a milestone day for many KBC customers , it may serve us well to acknowledge key individuals who have pursued this matter against many institutions against considerable odds over the last number of years. Not least I feel we should take a nod to Pauric Kissane...

KBC Has anyone got tracker back from KBC

Very good post Cushcam. I think we can take heart from the fact that our voices have been heard in 2017 after many years of continued disregard by KBC. It is too easy for this issue to become all consuming for all in scope. While I know this is difficult we all need to try to distance ourselves...

KBC KBC told brokers" all fixed rate loans will roll onto trackers on expiry"

I think this is great news also- based on the KBC October update below, it would seem the 490 customers(bullet 2) plus the 600 cases (bullet 3)are now deemed affected.......... Is it time to open the champagne ?????

Some people are wrongly attributing their problems to their loss of their tracker.

Brendan, I think your analysis may be overly simplistic and does not take account of all other sources of finance that may have been exhausted by impacted customers. I also feel that the thread may not be the most appropriate platform to discuss such sensitive matters such as suicide.

KBC KBC statement on tracker redress

The Central Bank advised earlier today that the status of accounts must be determined by November with regard to those accounts where KBC is unsure if the accounts are impacted or not impacted. I think this is good news and helps to draw a line under matters.

    KBC KBC prevailing variable rate

In cases where KBC bank deems in scope accounts to be "not impacted" , at a minimum the bank should be directed to explain to these customers the rationale as to why these accounts were in scope, the associated cohort and the reasons why the cohort is deemed "not impacted". It is getting and...

Failed by banks, ombudsman, regulator and Central bank

I agree that the Central Bank should be given more powers as an emergency measure with regard to pre 2013 bank activities. I accept it may be GUBU but it is in response to a Gu BU period in recent Irish History regarding fallout from an economic collapse in our country!

Questions for the Central Bank at Finance Committee

It would be great if the Central Bank could confirm by what date the two " outstanding banks" ( KBC and BOI?) are required to notify impacted customers per the phase 2 bank reviews.

KBC KBC told brokers" all fixed rate loans will roll onto trackers on expiry"

Based on recent Central Bank update, Can it be assumed that KBC will be required to advise its " Impacted customers" by the end of October. .? The Central Bank said that the two outstanding banks ( no pun intended) are due to revert to the Central Bank with their completed phase 2 reviews by end...

KBC KBC told brokers" all fixed rate loans will roll onto trackers on expiry"

perhaps the best thing is for us to request Pauric Kissane or another to coordinate the approach. Obviously we would need to pay Pauric if he is agreeable to the proposal.

KBC KBC told brokers" all fixed rate loans will roll onto trackers on expiry"

Lightening ...I fully agree....we need to think about how we can best group together.......it should not be beyond our wit to come up with some proposals....perhaps a Facebook group/ mass meeting etc....any other proposals....we need to think a bit differently!

it is also unlikely that if the central bank identify anomalies that they will get involved in individual cases.....

KBC KBC told brokers" all fixed rate loans will roll onto trackers on expiry"

Perhaps the Central Bank is providing significant challenge to KBC regarding its phase 2 findings and as such this is resulting in KBC being delayed in closing phase 2. It may not be a bad thing that KBC do not meet the deadline. However, I agree the situation is farcical at this stage.! It is...
