Thanks for that Freelance. Someone recommended the Samsung Galaxy A15 over there as a cheap phone with a fair degree of future proofing. Seems to have a good enough spec.?

    Mortgage interest charged

Thinking about this you may have overpayed by too much. And they charged you a penalty. If the first €5000 payment was a percentage of the 2023 mortgage, it would have reduced the mortgage principal so the 2024 allowed overpayment would have been less than €5000. It would be worth discussing...

    Mortgage interest charged

The increase in interest sounds wrong. I assume the interest rate didn't increase in the interim. Maybe the bank charged you a penalty (incorrectly in my opinion) for the overpayments. When you say the first interest payment was €1300, do you mean that this is a new mortgage?

Box on Left hand top side of screen with red X through it.

I am seeing a new button or box on the left hand top side of the AskAboutMoney website with a red X over it. I think it only appeared today. Just wondering what it is? I don't want to press it in case it is dangerous.

EV taking nights to charge to 80%

There's something suspicious in the wiring if a 63amp circuit breaker is tripping. Maybe an earth fault somewhere. It might be a failing heating element somewhere in an immersion or an electric cooker or single bar heater.
