ARF - can I choose from anywhere?

Hi to fellow AAMs, I am retiring from teaching and will have a lump sum and an AVC. The go-to financial services provider for INTO members is Cornmarket. Hi all, my retirement lump sum will be around 110k. My credit union says that if this is sent to my current account with them, then together with existing savings that will exceed their max. I contacted pTSB, with whom I also have a current account, and they said it should be fine. It's the...

Thanks so much to all the knowledgeable people for taking the time to reply. I have some photos of the beautiful Geranium walk in southern Tenerife. Is is too much to hope for that there's something like it on the mainland? (We like the vegetation)

Spanish resorts with long coastal walks?

Thsnk you very much for your replies. A special thanks to Leper for the very detailed post. We'll have a bit of fun trying them all! Looking back on my request, I should have added that we are two empty-nesters and will be there in autumn/winter only, so no worries about high temps.

Spanish resorts with long coastal walks?

We've enjoyed Playa de las Americas to Los Cristianos areas in Tenerife because of the Geranium Walk, a seaside pavement that runs from 10-12 k along the coast. No traffic noise - the roads are on the inland side of the hotels. Can anyone suggest similar in mainland Spain's Med coast? Thanks

Is LTV the same as SVR?

SVR customers can switch to LTV - Brendan SVR is not available to new customers in AIB. - RedOnion Both posters seem to draw a distinction between SVR and LTV which was my first question. What is the difference? AIB does not allow you to drop to a lower LTV band, if you reduce your...

Is LTV the same as SVR?

Advice appreciated from the wiser heads here: We're on 4.2% SVR with KBC (I know, I know). Repayments €945, currently overpaying at €1400 p.m. Mortgage outstanding €113k, valuation €255k so 45% LTV. Asked about lowering our rate and they said no problem, offering 3.2% or 3% if I switched...

Idiomatic, grammatical, spelling and other misteaks....

To revert to the OP's point, may I offer overuse of "in relation to" on the radio? Example: "To answer your question in relation to pay scales, blah blah..." What's wrong with a simple "about"? "In relation to" implies two or more concepts and a connection between them.

How do I know if a software download is safe?

CNET, Brothersoft and others routinely package PUPs (Potentially Unwanted Programmes) e.g. SupTab with their downloads. These are usually marketing trackers and some contain file lockers to prevent tampering so can be difficult to remove (though Malwarebytes [free] usually does the trick). Apart...
