    CGT Late submission surcharge

Dublin66 seems to be correct - I hope! Spoke to Revenue last Friday and the individual in the Inspectors office said it should be fine once I send in the postal confirmation to the Paye section confirming that it was posted on 31st Oct. I did this with covering note this week and await a...

    CGT Late submission surcharge

Thanks for the informed replies. I have corrected the date on the OP as it should read 31/10/14. Had I known that the application of the surcharge was so strict, I would have driven to Limerick with the form the day I posted it, and all would be fine. I will take Mrs Vimes advice and write to...

    CGT Late submission surcharge

Thanks Derek, I know I was late as you say. I assume it was done automatically by computer and was really wondering what the norm was in these circumstances so I know what way to approach the tax inspector whose name is on the form.

    CGT Late submission surcharge

I paid CGT on property disposal in full during 2013. I made the return on 31/10/14 being the last day, and sent by registered post to Revenue. This probably arrived a day late accordingly. I got a late submission 5%surcharge today regarding this. Is it normal for Revenue to apply surcharges in...

Time to get deeds from BoS(I)?

I went into their old office in Stephens Green currently used by their collection agents Certus. They appointed some of the BOSI staff on contracts as collection agents so I used my previous connections there and chased through them.

Time to get deeds from BoS(I)?

The deeds were held against borrowings I had repaid fully. I wanted them back urgently as I was selling the asset. I got nowhere for months. Finally I just went into the Dublin office and sat there until I spoke to someone in charge. I did another call in 2 weeks later. Meantime my solicitor had...

It took me nearly 6 months of letters, visits and correspondence through my solicitors to get deeds back from them. A complete nightmare !

    Site on house

    1. Get an ordinance survey map (cheap, buy from ordinance survey). 2. Look up your local authority planning division and read the regulations regards building on side gardens. See the requirements for back garden size and access/entrance. 3. Roughly measure the free space allowing for separation...

Late filing CGT CG1 form if no tax due

I am just back from a while abroad and realize that today is the last filing date re above CG1 form. I disposed of property last year and paid the full CGT tax due. I will be filing a zero tax CG1 form to confirm this. Q: Is there any penalty for late filing of above when there is no extra tax...

Site Notice but Planning not In

I understand your concerns. You will need more substantial reasons than stated and more specific to the application itself. Have a look at other similar construction applications on the local council planning website and read some of the objections, especially where an application is refused...

Nice Airport to local train station for onward travel.

Exactly the reason that the train is preferable if a little inconvenient to get to initially.

Nice Airport to local train station for onward travel.

The walk from the station is hassle free. A few crossings but pedestrian lights so just straigt-forward. It is also signposted. Anyway, most people getting off here are going to the airport so just follow them!. Around 10 mins walk with a wheelie case.

Nice Airport to local train station for onward travel.

I think you can. Don't rule of the train either. Did that trip passing through Menton to San Augustan Station at airport for around 6 euro last week in around 40 mins. It can be a lot quicker and more comfortable, depending on the train schedule which you can check on-line. 10 mins walk from...
