    my belief is that AIB have either used an incorrect balance or an incorrect term when calculating their new repayments. it could be a timing issue when they calculated the payments

    the letter issued was a standard repayment calculation letter that occurred due to a rate change, this would not be sent to the Central Bank to review. It would only have been sent to the Central Bank if AIB believed there was an issue before the letters were sent out.

    have you checked the actual AIB calculation? could it not be AIB messed up by using incorrect information? has anybody actually compared the details from Ulster Bank to AIB.

    has anybody actually questioned AIB and their calculation? Retrieve the details from AIB and compare the information to the last details from UB. Balances, Terms, Rates.

    As above you cant get a fixed rate. they send a calculation of the repayment at a point in time, this I think is based on what is on your account at that time of the letter, when the rate is actually changed the balance at the time could be different so will get a different repayment,. nobody...

    why did you close your current account? they advised people do not close your current account if you are in an offset and it is linked to your mortgage.

    ECB went up by 0.5% in March so your ECB+1% was then at 4.5% when it was implemented in April. the increase of 0.25% occurred this month so your rate when it is implemented will be 4.75%
