    Farnham Estate Cavan

A friend of mine got married there recently. Absolutely gorgeous hotel, rooms are fabulous. Staff were very nice and food was also lovely (though beef was a wee bit overcooked).

Sole Trader - VAT benefits etc

Be careful of claiming VAT/expenses back on any utility bills relating to the home. You can charge a percentage for these if you want - but if in the future you decide to sell the house then your PPR relief would also be reduced accordingly by the same percentage. You would then be liable for...

Last day for return & file on ROS

I think that it is normal to show up as late - the deadline of the 16th is only for those people who pay and file via ROS. Anybody sending in traditional paper returns have a deadline of 31st October and therefore would, at this stage be late!!!

    Affordable Housing, South Dublin CC

Yeh, but I looked on the myhome website. It says that there are only 2 apartments left in that complex for sale. So obviously they've already been released. If thats the case then surely SDCC would have already gotten their allocation and given them out to people on the list??? I wouldn't be...

    Affordable Housing, South Dublin CC

Hi there, I also applied to SDCC. I was waiting around 10 or 12 weeks for a reply. I rang them in the interim to see what the story was. Basically, the standard waiting time is around 6 weeks but with the summer months they had been short-staffed, what with people being on holidays or...
