My friend is a long term tenant in the property. So the notice period is a long time. If the landlord tries to enforce the original notice where does this leave my friend. Should he request the statutory declaration. And does this reset the clock. The landlord would know the RTB will not...

HI, A friend of mine got a notice to quit his tenancy in writing, but it did not include the statutory declaration. The landlord was looking for the property for an immediate family member. Post 1995 Supplementary pension query

So the issue is that someone would have to be denied Job Seekers and then not get the supplementary pension and be at a monetary loss. There are probably other cases where someone is getting less than the equivalent person getting the non-coordinated pension.

    Post 1995 Supplementary pension query

The issue for me is the need to collect the payment personally weekly in a post office. This limits the ability to travel as you are only allowed a couple of weeks holidays in the year. I find this severely limiting.

    Post 1995 Supplementary pension query

I was at a union sponsored pre-retirement course and they hinted that negotiations were at an advanced stage regarding the need to sign and would be hopeful of an announcement. I didn't get a timeline, but I expected Months rather than years the way they were talking.
