Electric Car Value Trade In. Please Help

So effectively, the only choice to avoid the €12K RRP drop, excluding the additional massive EV depreciation for an ID4 owner is a new ID4?? Sure that's okay then. VW have captured customers for life!

Electric Car Value Trade In. Please Help

A fascinating report: https://carbonmajors.org/site//data/000/027/Carbon_Majors_Launch_Report.pdf Worth quoting when your local Green Party Zealot comes calling at election time and urges that Ireland needs to reduce CO2 emissions even further.

Electric Car Value Trade In. Please Help

Because the EV zealots can't see the wood for the trees. As long as the 'planet is being saved' by buying an impractical EV, nothing else matters. Apparently the planet is 'burning' but given that it has rained pretty much non-stop since Christmas, I wouldn't mind a little heat!!

    PTSB Increasing Some Deposit Rates

Opened a fixed account with them during the week. I was told it would take 45 minutes but only took 25 as I was already a customer. The rigmarole of going through all the T&C's at the start was farcical. The staff member was just reciting it and was immune to interruption. I agree that it is...

Sky switching to streaming and away from the satellite dish?

Moved from Sky last year after more than twenty years to a Freesat box. Realised we only predominantly watched free-to-air channels on Sky and that their subscription was a pure waste of money. The savings on Sky's monthly sub has already far exceeded the outlay of the Freesat box. No sign of...

PTSB Increase Explore Current Account Maintenance Fee - April 2024

No. We have two accounts with them which will cost a whopping €5 or €6 per month for both, even with the reduced cashback. My banking services have to paid for somehow. No way would I go back to the 1990's with EBS.

EBS Building Society. Any issues with a branch near you?

Personally I find stepping into the nearest EBS branch to me is like entering a time machine back to the Nineties. The decor, ambience and ancient banking methodologies make me feel that I am back in my 20's!!!

I think I am tired of being "Green".

Indeed, all of which are gradually being eroded and reduced over time such as solar and EV until they will no longer exist. They are currently of benefit to those who can already afford to get an EV or massively reinsulate their house etc. The taxes and levies will always remain though...

I think I am tired of being "Green".

My main problem is that the Green Zealots absolutely love a tax and a levy. Only a few posts back, one was suggesting a levy on McDonalds' packaging. On another forum, a zealot was suggesting that there be an increased tax on ICE cars to 'encourage' the switch to EV. Pointless. Why should I, as...

I think I am tired of being "Green".

I never said that. What I did say is irregardless of doing something, anything done in Ireland won't make any difference if the large emission-producing countries do not change their behaviour. Why is this concept so difficult for you to comprehend?
