Philips TV - switches to green filter periodically; how to fix?

Our TV with dvd, cable-provider and satellite plugged in continously, and google-chrome-tv-widget occasionally plugged-in - switches over from normal tv viewing to what could be a green filter.

The best way to describe this is as if we're viewing it through Kermit the Frog coloured lenses. Our satellite channels and dvd-viewing is unaffected, but our live-TV and recorded-TV is affected.

How to fix? A quick google spoke about HML, HTML cables etc and this was like Swahili to me .. ... heeeelp !

Try a different cable to connect your cable box to the TV. Do you have access to another TV that you could test with to eliminate the cable box as the cause?

I had a similar issue with a philips tv. The tv was always gine and it was when I seitched to UPC that the problem started to happen, so the culprit was obvious.
I called them and I was talked through making a setting change in the advanced menu and it fixed it.
This was two years ago.. no idea what the change was!
