My father died recently and had an insurance policy, paying 40 euros monthly for twenty years or more. He had a deposit book, wouldnt touch anything electronic, believing in handling everything in cash. I believe that he went into the bank and paid the policy manually over the counter every month. I dont have the following:
  1. The name of the insurance company.
  2. The type of policy but believe that it is life insurance.
  3. Paper Payment receipts(as he believe in handling cash only).
But have
The address of the bank where it was paid.

If you can advise on this.

If the bank can't help you, you could get his personal representative(s) to write to each insurance company asking for details of any policies held by your father citing his date of birth and address.

Hi QMoney,

Welcome to AAM. Sorry to hear that your father passed away recently.

I have moved your thread to a more appropriate forum. Please be mindful of which forum to use when starting a new thread.

Did your father leave a Will and therefore the solicitor may be aware of which company it is held with?

If you have the name and address of the bank, it should be easy enough to track down. Banks are always tied agents ie they only deal with one insurance company, so it will be whoever they are tied to.
