Am very light sleeper n work nights sometimes. Anyone got any recommendations for good ear plugs/noise reducers that are effective for blocking out noises like Snoring, dogs barking, bin lorries etc and safe to use in ears when sleeping

Are the only varieties out there really just the foam ones you can pick up in the chemists or is there any good brands that people here use and find effective

Thanks

Halfords have earplugs for motorcyclists. A partner of someone prone to snoring swears by them ;-)

Think it's these ones [broken link removed]

Quies foam earplugs are great. You can get them in most chemists for around €5.00 for 3 pairs.

I find Quies wax ones brilliant. They're in most chemists. You warm them up in your hand and mould them into your ears.

I had a problem with barking dogs....I used the Go travel earplugs. They fall out after a while while you are sleeping but I was told by the audiologist that you have to be very careful about using earplugs because it can make you more sensitive to noise....you should be able to hear some noise as you're brain is on alert in case you need to wake up in a hurry...a throwback to cave times.

We get that sort of earplug in work. A pair costs under 10 cents when bought in bulk. You should be getting about 20 pairs for €5.00.
