Hi Folks
My sister-in-law will shortly be applying for a mortgage. She obtained her credit report from the ICB and showed it to me. Two things worry me:
- She bought a tv on interest free credit from Argos last year. The debt was cleared within the six month interest free period.
- She had a Halifax credit card. When they left Ireland a number of years ago, she was given the option of clearing the credit card over three years at an interest rate of 10%. She took this deal. It was not a default. But the ICB report says "debt assigned to third party".
Will she have a problem?
