Hi there
We are thinking of letting our home on AirBnB for two weeks during the summer while we are away.
My wife rented a property on AirBnB last summer, really enjoyed the experience and got a very high feedback score.
Our home is in my sole name but my wife will be doing all the work in getting the place ready to be let etc.
My wife is a homemaker and doesn't have any taxable income.
Does anyone know if there's likely to be any difficulty with Revenue with my wife receiving this rental income via AirBnB e.g might they query the income going to my wife on the basis that the property is in my sole name, even though she is 'running the business' so to speak?
We want to ensure we are fully tax compliant with the whole thing.
Any help/thoughts much appreciated.
