Pension and homemaker scheme

Hi all My mother is not entitled to state pension (she has 517 stamps but needs 520 ) Anyway, she is getting 120 euro but has just been awarded 8 years under homemakers scheme. What does this mean?? Thanks x

Do you know whether the €120 that she is being paid weekly is a State Non-contributory Pension or a pro-rata* pension?

In that case, I fear that those 8 homemaker years aren't worth anything to her.

If she was eligible for the Contributory Pension then they would have increased her weekly payment, but as the non-contributory pension is based on her means, and her means haven't changed, I'm afraid that to the best of my knowledge, they aren't going to be of any use to her.
